Solomon Fund Steering Committee Description & Timeline

Purpose

The Solomon Fund Steering Committee guides the process of inviting, evaluating, selecting, and awarding grants from Park City Community Foundation’s Solomon Fund.

Timeline

  • February: Committee Kickoff / Orientation meeting.
  • March: Evaluation of applications and prior grantee impact reports.
  • April: Final Decision Meeting. Grantee award notices.

Grants Committee Structure

  • Eight to nine members of the community.
  • One member must be a Park City Community Foundation board member.
  • Diversity of age, experience, ethnicity/race & socio-economic background.

Grants Committee Member Requirements

  • Time availability: minimum two meetings and approximately 20 hours over the course of one grant cycle (the above timeline).

Nomination Process

    • Community members may nominate themselves or someone else.
    • Nominees are selected by the steering committee chairperson and Park City Community Foundation staff.
    • Nomination information is kept confidential beyond those involved in the decision.
