Early Childhood Champions

Please join us for an evening with Elliot Haspel and the Sorenson Impact Center to discuss the critical issue of early childhood education and care in Summit County. Elliot’s talk will explore why America’s childcare system has come to be so fragmented and fragile, the disproportionate impacts on communities of color and women, and the potential paths forward to a future where all children and families can flourish. Preceding Elliot’s discussion, the Sorenson Impact Center will unveil their research on the most pressing early childhood issues facing Summit County.

Elliot Haspel is a nationally-recognized early childhood policy expert and author of the book “Crawling Behind: America’s Childcare Crisis and How to Fix It.” Elliot’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post, among other mediums, and he has appeared as an analyst on The PBS Newshour.
