In the Arena: How Leaders Are Maneuvering Politics to Drive Impact

In today’s volatile political climate, effective advocacy takes strategy, resilience, and creativity. How are civic leaders navigating federal, state, and local politics to push for meaningful change? What innovative approaches are emerging to counter funding cuts, policy setbacks, and systemic barriers?

Join us for a dynamic panel featuring Kendra Wyckoff, Dr. Mairi Leining and Jenessa Jimoh as they share real-world insights from their advocacy and policy work across Utah. Kendra Wyckoff is the Executive Director at Peace House, Dr. Mairi Leining is the Chief Executive Officer at the People’s Health Clinic, and Jenessa Jimoh is the Executive Director of Ignite! Utah with the Utah Donor Collaborative.

What We’ll Cover:

  • Navigating Political Roadblocks: Adapting to shifting policies and funding
  • Creative Resistance: Innovative approaches to mobilizing communities
  • Lessons from the Field: What’s working—and what’s next—for Utah advocates
  • Building Power: Strengthening movements and advancing community-driven solutions

Who Should Attend:

  • Nonprofit and policy leaders
  • Community organizers and civic advocates
