Nonprofit Workshop with Molly Kawahata: The Transformative Power of Hope-Based Leadership and Storytelling

4 June @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Harnessing the Science of Hope in Leadership and Organizational Growth

Once a year, Park City Community Foundation hosts a workshop for you to learn along with your local nonprofit colleagues about some of the hottest topics in the sector. Join us for a morning of learning, sharing, and reflection led by Molly Kawahata

Hope can be a powerful tool in motivating teams, aligning visions, and nonprofit storytelling. This session is designed for leaders seeking to enact significant change and drive impactful results. Centered on imparting the principles of Hope-Based Leadership and communication, this session integrates narrative psychology, framing techniques, and personal narrative to teach strategies that enhance team morale and foster a strong sense of community. Attendees will learn evidence-based strategies for weaving hope into the fabric of their leadership and organizational ethos.

About Molly Kawahata

Molly Kawahata is an award-winning speaker, strategist, advocate, and former Climate Advisor at the Obama White House. Her life story, depicted in Patagonia’s film, THE SCALE OF HOPE (2022), intimately explores her pursuit of climbing steep ice faces in Alaska, her personal struggle with mental health, and her work to transform societal narratives by infusing them with hope and empowerment.
