Summer may be coming to an end, but the lessons learned by 11 young mountain bikers will last long after.
Just before the start of school, the Park City Community Foundation helped organize a Young Riders mountain bike camp. More than 30 bikes were donated by community members for these riders. Silver Star Ski & Sport volunteered to tune the bikes and Young Riders paid for replacement parts and coaching.
If the kids that signed up for the camp attended all 5 days, they got to keep the bike and helmet. We are happy to report that all 11 kids successfully completed the camp.
The City and Brain Injury Alliance of Utah donated the helmets and ASSOS donated high-performance jerseys.
The camp was a tremendous collaborative effort and we thank all those who volunteered their time and resources to give these kids an awesome experience. It’s stories like these that exemplify why Park City is such a great community to live and give.
