Park City Community Foundation to Host Live PC Give PC, the Annual Giving Day for Local Nonprofits, on November 15, 2024

Following record-breaking numbers in 2023, a new goal of 7,300 individual donors has been set

Park City, Utah (October 9, 2024) – Park City Community Foundation will host its 14^th annual day of community giving on Friday, November 15^th. Everyone who loves Summit County and Park City is encouraged to help support 128 nonprofits that strengthen the community and make it a vibrant place to live, work, and play. A new goal has been established to surpass last year’s record-shattering total of 7,160 donors who raised $4.8 million-plus by contributing a minimum of $5 to the local nonprofits of their choosing. More than 16,000 donations were made. The Park City Community Foundation is now looking to see participation from 7,300 donors and $5 million in donations for all the nonprofits in 24 hours.

“The idea is to get the entire community involved, which is why the minimum donation to participate is set at a modest five dollars. We measure our success as much by the number of unique donors as we do by the total funds raised,” explains Park City Community Foundation President and CEO Joel Zarrow. “The participating nonprofits serve Park City, Summit County, Wasatch County, and some even make a statewide impact. For many, Live PC Give PC is their biggest fundraiser of the year, so it’s critical for them to operate their programs and serve their communities. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to get involved in this inclusive day of giving.”

Live PC Give PC has become a local holiday and an epic display of community spirit with nearly $31 million raised during the past 13 years. Making online contributions is simple and efficient through a central hub where donors can select the nonprofits they’d like to support and the amount to donate to each. Early giving is open, but it is recommended to wait until November 15 because organizations that get the most donations that day receive cash boosts. Many nonprofits also receive matching grants which double the donations made. Those who donated in 2023 will have this year’s contributions boosted by $10. Nonprofits compete for $37,000 in prize money, which Park City Community Foundation awards to those that get the most unique donors.

In-person celebrations and other activities that cater to all members of the community will be held beginning late afternoon on November 15. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., all ages are invited to the Giving Day Fest at Park City Library to enjoy music, free tacos, hot chocolate, face painting, and games. Later that evening, the party will pick up at High West Saloon with DJ Luva Luva from 8:00 p.m. to midnight for donors, nonprofits, volunteers, and members of the community who are 21 and over.
