Sarah MacCarthy

Sarah joined Park City Community Foundation in 2017 and has been instrumental in kick-starting many of our initiatives, including Youth United (formerly Solomon and RISE Funds), our Equity Advancement Cohort, Leaders Lab and more. Her specialties include strategic planning, community organizing, convening, equity advancement, outreach, and more. Sarah grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and has always enjoyed being active and spending time outside, especially in the mountains and in the desert. She moved to Salt Lake City in 2006 to join the University of Utah Ski Team. After graduating, she lived in Mexico and Colombia, where she acquired a master’s in Applied Linguistics of Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. After moving back to the Utah, she was an adjunct Spanish professor at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Sarah’s desire to create a more equitable and inclusive community motivates her in her role as Vice President of Operations.
