Waste Less Solutions is a Utah-based nonprofit organization focused on food rescue – working to get excess, edible food to those that may be experiencing food insecurity. Last year, Park City Community Foundation’s Climate Fund made a grant to the organization to expand their services to Summit County as part of our Zero Food Waste efforts. Since then, the organization has been working to establish relationships with various businesses and local nonprofits. They have also helped launch two Community Fridges, one at Slopeside Village and another at Summit County Clubhouse.
Most recently, Waste Less has just launched a weekly Mobile Market, where they are offering free, fresh produce for anyone to take. No questions asked. Food is donated each week by local grocers and rescued by community volunteers.
