Youth United T-Shirt Contest Winner: Isabella Escobar

Isabella Escobar, a recent graduate of Park City High School, won the 2024 Youth United T-Shirt Contest with a design she and her uncle collaborated on.

Park City Community Foundation’s Youth United program provides opportunities for local children and teens to participate in sports, recreation, and extracurricular activities. It makes belonging and community connections possible for everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances or cultural background. The t-shirt contest kicked off in March when Youth United was announced as the unification of the Solomon Fund and RISE Fund.

Isabella has been in Youth United programs since she was a little kid, as her mom would enroll her in summer camp programs the initiative made accessible to them. She’s also volunteered at and translated for some of Youth United’s events too.

The events put on by Youth United has helped me find new opportunities for my younger sister and connect with different people in the community,” Isabella said.

Incorporating the fun font of the logo and utilizing the initiative’s website to see all the ways to be involved with Youth United, Isabella and her uncle created a whimsical design that captures the spirit of Youth United. The centerpiece of the shirt is the large “YU” in our classic bright orange, at the top of the shirt the slogan reads “creating community belonging,” and all around are yellow, red, green, and orange doodles – a running figure, ski goggles, a boxing glove, theatre masks, and more.

Isabella will be attending the University of Utah in the fall as a freshman. We wish her luck and thank her for her work with Youth United over the years! A big thank you to everyone who submitted a design for the t-shirt contest.
