Announcing New Impact Partnership with Promontory Foundation

February 25, 2020 – PARK CITY, UTAH – Promontory Foundation, Promontory Club’s 501(c)(3) non-profit, and Park City Community Foundation, announced that they have joined forces to collaborate on developing Impact Grants, more meaningful and strategic grants within the Park City community.

Over the past 11 years, Promontory Foundation has raised and granted a total of over $1.6 million dollars with required matching grants for a community impact of over $4.2 million dollars in support of Park City and Summit County non-profits. When looking at the recipients of the Promontory Foundation grants, in comparison with those of Park City Community Foundation’s Community Fund, both groups of grantees overlapped. Robin Milne, Promontory Foundation President, and Katie Wright, Executive Director of Park City Community Foundation, created this partnership to become higher ‘Impact Partners’ in the Park City community.

“As Promontory has become more integrated into the Park City community with an increasing number of full-time residents, our community feels strongly that establishing this meaningful partnership with the Park City Community Foundation positions us to be leaders in determining how high-impact funds can be best utilized,” says Robin Milne. “Having a relevant seat at the table in helping local non-profits do their essential work is important to our community of passionate, engaged citizens of Park City.”

Promontory Foundation’s vision for the partnership with the Community Foundation is to curate three to five high impact opportunities in arts, culture, and social services. Park City Community Foundation, working together with the Promontory Foundation’s Advisory Board, is committed to building better strategies in determining the most impactful uses for funds and helping local non-profits maximize their missions. The Impact Grants will address areas where there are funding gaps around vital issues with an eye towards longer term solutions.

“Having a partner like Promontory Foundation that wants to amplify the work we do to care for the people, the place, and the culture of greater Park City is exciting,” says Katie Wright. “This is another step in our work to convene parties around opportunities that match resources to needs. We are eager to see where this may lead.”
