Climate Fund

Tackling urgent climate change issues and supporting long-term investment for local climate solutions.

Local Climate Solutions in Action

Park City Community Foundation's Climate Fund puts resources in place to implement local climate solutions.

These solutions include: reducing emissions through eliminating food waste in our landfill, supporting natural land sinks, and empowering public and private entities to work in concert toward more sustainable future.

Our community is deeply-rooted to our natural environment, and we experience the impact of global warming in a visceral way when our community's snowpack and economic livelihood are at risk.

Guiding Scalable Solutions

While our interests are local, our influence is much bigger than our small population. Every climate solution we support aims to be replicable in similar communities.

Zero Food Waste 2030 Goal

In January 2024, the Climate Fund released its Zero Food Waste Strategic Plan, which outlines objectives, strategies, and next steps to eliminate food waste from the landfill by 2030.
