Park City, UT — January 24, 2025 — Park City Community Foundation today launched its Community Belonging Fund to support local families facing urgent needs due to immigration-related concerns. Areas of support that the fund will address include legal assistance, community education about immigrant rights, housing stability, access to mental and physical health services, and more.
“The Community Foundation is committed to fostering belonging and advancing a thriving workforce,” said Diego Zegarra, Vice President of Equity & Impact at Park City Community Foundation. “The Community Belonging Fund is one way we can support local, hardworking families and collectively uphold the values that make Park City a place for everyone.”
The fund has been launched to quickly channel essential dollars to families and individuals facing urgent needs. People interested in donating to the fund can give online at parkcitycf.org/communitybelongingfund/ or contact the Community Foundation at 435-731-4303.
Joel Zarrow, President and CEO of Park City Community Foundation, said, “Many of the families affected by the current climate are contributors to the local economy, enrich the cultural fabric, and strengthen the ties that bind our community together. This fund will help foster kindness in our community and an environment where people from diverse backgrounds feel valued and connected to their neighbors.”
For years, Park City Community Foundation has convened community partners to advocate for and provide resources to vulnerable families. Now, it is taking further action with the launch of the Community Belonging Fund. It is calling on residents and stakeholders to donate to the fund and help ensure that all members of the community can feel safe, supported, and valued.
