With a staff and board of philanthropy experts, Park City Community Foundation identifies needs within our community and collaborates with nonprofits and donors to ensure that those needs are met. PC Tots is a nonprofit organization that provides an essential service in our community: low cost, high quality childcare for working families.
Their programs focus on early childhood education, social development, and cultural awareness for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Each of their four weekday programs are designed to meet the individual needs of each child and to provide them with educational experiences.
Working families love that PC Tots’ extended hours of operation give families the opportunity for a full work day, and by staying open 12 months a year, they are certainly fulfilling their goal of being receptive to working families in Park City.
“When I first moved back to Park City, I was looking for a daycare that offered hours past 5:00pm and I needed the cost to be affordable. This was a big challenge until I found out about PC Tots,” said one parent.
Parents love that each child is encouraged to develop educationally, emotionally, and socially at their own pace.
“It is hard leaving your little one in the care of others while you work but I always know that he is in good hands and that this program will continue to enrich his development.”
The educators at PC Tots use an engaging and stimulating program that encourages visual, language, and motor skills development to enhance learning through each child’s own curiosity. Throughout the day, toddlers are entertained by the variety of play materials that are readily available to them, and are encouraged to learn through art, music, language, and science activities.
PC Tots was developed by and for community members, who recognized the need for safe, high quality, and affordable childcare for working families. As a collective, members of Mountainlands Community Housing Trust, Holy Cross Ministries, United Way, Intermountain Healthcare, Summit County Library, and the previous owner of Keystone Montessori Community School joined together to form PC Tots, a 501c3 non-profit.
