At our Women’s Giving Fund Grant Celebration on July 10, we announced Peace House as our $30,000 high-impact grant recipient.
Peace House was among three finalists chosen as a potential recipient for the grant, which was voted on by members of the Women’s Giving Fund in June.
Holy Cross Ministries and Youth Sports Alliance were also finalists.
Peace House will use the grant funds to support the first transitional housing unit in their new community campus, providing a safe home where Summit County women and children can rebuild their lives after domestic abuse.
“It’s a symbolic gift that shows the community just how important our work is,” said Peace House Facility Project Director Jane Patten. “Just one-third of the families from Park City and Summit County that stayed in our shelter last year were able to find safe housing after their emergency shelter stay. That’s why we need to provide this continuum of care to keep them safe.”
