Q: Why do you think Park City is a unique place to live and give?
A: The quality of life and culture in Park City makes it quite unique. The people are kind, generous, humble, active, and passionate about our community. This magic makes it a great place to live and give. Living in such a culture is rewarding and being able to give back to our community is our way of expressing our gratitude and ensuring this magic stays alive.
Q: How do you fit giving into your life here?
A: Giving has always been part of my life. It’s a value I have of applying my knowledge, skill set, and resources to improve my community, focusing on social injustice.
I’ve only been here a year and have already pursued ways to contribute and serve.
Q: How would you spend your perfect Park City day?
A: It depends on the time of year, but there will always be an outdoor component. A perfect day would consist of skiing, hiking, or mountain biking, followed by some yummy food/drinks, a conversation on how we can all be Rock Stars and make this world a better place, and lying in a hammock in the afternoon overlooking some lake/creek. Oh yes, and I can’t forget…having family, friends, and my Godchildren with me would make it all complete.
Q: What is it about Park City Community Foundation that you love?
A: There is so much to love about the foundation. I love the leadership it provides to the community and nonprofits in the area to help create access and build capacity to keep our community thriving. I also love the active and engaged board that is comprised of talented passionate individuals who continue to work on improving our community. I find these people admirable and am always looking to learn from them. And of course, the staff. The amazing team who always puts a smile on my face. They are the ones who are in the trenches making a difference every day in our community connecting and allocating resources appropriately. Overall I am just impressed, blown away, and enamored by the foundation. May this honeymoon phase never end!
