Dr. Rob Davies is a passionate local scientist, physics professor, and preeminent speaker on global environmental change. Mountain towns like Park City have a special role to play in reversing global warming—our snow pack is critical. Come learn about what we can expect in the next decade as we strive to meet climate goals for 2030.

Dr. Robert Davies is a physicist whose work focuses on global change, complexity, human vibrancy, and critical science communication. His work for more than a decade has been in critical science communication, principally focused on global environmental change and sustainable human systems. Rob has delivered hundreds of public lectures ― to policymakers, business leaders, civic organizations, and faith communities ― and his “performance science” theatrical collaboration The Crossroads Project | Rising Tide has been performed across the U.S. and abroad. He has served as a scientific liaison for NASA on the International Space Station Project, as a project scientist with Utah State University’s Space Dynamics Laboratory, and as an officer and meteorologist in the United States Air Force. Originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota, Rob is currently Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Utah State University’s Department of Physics in Logan.
