Helping Children Thrive: The Power of the Collective

Access to childcare is an essential part of our community fabric. Yet, too many families in our community cannot find nor afford child care.

According to the family budget calculator by the Economic Policy Institute, childcare costs are the highest single category of a monthly family budget for a 2-adult, 2-child family living in Summit County—costing more than housing, transportation, food, or healthcare. And for parents who can afford it, Summit County does not have enough licensed providers to meet the demand.

The Early Childhood Alliance, a Park City Community Foundation initiative, is adamantly working to close these gaps through engaging, educating, and supporting children, parents, and community partners and prioritizing high-quality, accessible, and equitable childcare and education for children in the Wasatch Back from the prenatal stage through age three.

Investing in early childhood care and education benefits the entire community.

Join us in our mission to support our youngest community members and their families.
