Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 Women’s Giving Fund grant!
Park City Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Fund was established by over 1,200 women and girls who each gave $1000 or more to create an endowment aimed at supporting women and children in need in greater Park City, Utah.
the Community Foundation dedicates earned income from the WGF endowment to fund one high impact grant annually. Applications are currently being sought for projects or programs that benefit women and/or children in Summit County and are transformative in the way they change lives, alter a community, or address a root issue, rather than acting as a temporary solution.
The first-ever Women’s Giving Fund grant was awarded last year to PC Tots, a new affordable childcare program that will begin accepting participants soon. PC Tots offers a high quality solution to the important childcare needs of Summit County’s working families.
The estimated grant amount for 2016 is $25,000 to $30,000. Applications are due February 12. This year’s grantee will be announced at a celebration in early July. WGF grant guidelines and frequently asked questions may be found at parkcitycf.org/apply-for-a-grant.
The WGF grant is one of several ways that Park City Community Foundation serves local nonprofits. This grant is in addition to the $120,000 the Community Foundation grants annually through the Community Fund and Small Grant programs. The foundation also distributes approximately $600,000 annually through donor-advised, business-advised, memorial, and scholarship funds. In addition, the Community Foundation leads the annual Live PC Give PC day of giving and hosts ongoing education events for nonprofit professionals. Since inception, the Community Foundation has invested over $9 million in the greater Park City area.
