At the recent Women’s Giving Fund Grant Celebration, a matching challenge was announced seeking to raise a total of $20,000 to provide extra support to both the 2015 and 2016 WGF grantees.
The matching challenge was offered by a group of Women’s Giving Fund members to provide additional immediate support for the needs of women and children. Gifts raised up to $10,000 under this challenge will be matched one-to-one, to provide a total of $20,000. The matching funds have already allowed the 2016 grant (to Summit County Children’s Justice Center) to be topped up to the same amount that was awarded in 2015, and another $15,000 will support scholarships for affordable childcare at PC Tots, the 2015 WGF grantee.
Including the matching funds, the total raised as of July 27 is $15,400, leaving $4,600 to go to meet the full match. To make a gift toward the challenge (or to join the Women’s Giving Fund), please visit parkcitycf.org/givewgf/.
