Support the WGF matching challenge!

At the recent Women’s Giving Fund Grant Celebration, a matching challenge was announced seeking to raise a total of $20,000 to provide extra support to both the 2015 and 2016 WGF grantees.

The matching challenge was offered by a group of Women’s Giving Fund members to provide additional immediate support for the needs of women and children. Gifts raised up to $10,000 under this challenge will be matched one-to-one, to provide a total of $20,000. The matching funds have already allowed the 2016 grant (to Summit County Children’s Justice Center) to be topped up to the same amount that was awarded in 2015, and another $15,000 will support scholarships for affordable childcare at PC Tots, the 2015 WGF grantee.

Including the matching funds, the total raised as of July 27 is $15,400, leaving $4,600 to go to meet the full match. To make a gift toward the challenge (or to join the Women’s Giving Fund), please visit

PC Tots opened in 2016, thanks in part to the 2015 WGF grant. With further support from the matching challenge, they can serve even more families in need.
