Belonging & Convening
At Park City Community Foundation, we believe that a thriving community is one where every person feels safe, seen, and valued.
Park City and Summit County are places of extraordinary opportunity, but like any growing community, we face real disparities. As our region expands, we are committed to ensuring that opportunity expands with it — and that no one is left behind. That's why we have made community belonging a central pillar of our five-year Strategic Playbook, with a clear goal: to coalesce and inspire our community to promote belonging and actively address hate and bigotry.
A Unique Role in Our Community
One of our most important contributions is the role we play as a trusted, fair-minded convener. We bring together local government, businesses, nonprofits, and donors to find common ground and take meaningful action on the issues that matter most.
This convening power is something we take seriously. Since our founding, we have facilitated partnerships, sparked conversations, and helped turn bold ideas into lasting programs. Partnerships with us have given rise to initiatives like Youth United and the Early Childhood Alliance — programs that continue to make a measurable difference in the lives of families across Summit County.
Belonging in Action
Belonging isn’t a single program or event — it’s a commitment woven through all of our work.
Our Community Belonging Fund connects people to legal assistance, housing stability, health services, and hardship relief when they need it most. Our annual Community Belonging Cohort brings together dozens of stakeholders to champion belonging across Park City.
Youth United centers belonging as its north star — supporting young people and the organizations that serve them.
We also show up through events, campaigns, and sponsorships — partnering with schools, arts organizations, cultural communities, and civic leaders to amplify belonging across every corner of Summit County.
Belonging Is for Everyone
Our vision is a community where everyone — regardless of background, zip code, language, or circumstance — has access to opportunity and feels respected, included, and empowered.
That vision requires more than good intentions. It requires sustained investment, honest conversation, and the willingness to bring diverse voices together around shared goals.
Whether you want to support the Community Belonging Fund, participate in a Community Belonging Cohort, or simply learn more about how we're working toward a more inclusive Summit County, we'd love to connect.
