At Park City Community Foundation, we bring people and resources together to solve our area’s greatest challenges. A big part of that work involves collaborating with businesses that care deeply about the communities where they operate. These partnerships help strengthen local nonprofits, support community initiatives, and foster a culture of generosity across Summit County.
In our tight-knit community, that relationship is especially visible. One of the clearest examples of this connection in action is the support provided by Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation and Park City Mountain across the community.
Even in a year when conditions create real operational challenges, this commitment has remained steady. That consistency speaks to something deeper than good seasons. It reflects a long-term investment in the people and place that make Park City what it is.
In total, Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation commits $5.7 million to nonprofits in Park City and Summit County each year. The company provides cash grants and more than $300,000 in annual in-kind support to Park City Community Foundation, including lift tickets for our Community Pass program and hosting several of the Community Foundation’s most important events.
From early morning First Tracks experiences on the mountain to gatherings for the Women’s Giving Fund, Summer Solstice Celebration, and our Community Belonging Cohort, Park City Mountain becomes more than a destination. It becomes a place where people come together to learn, connect, and give back.
These moments of connection matter. They bring donors, nonprofit leaders, and community members into the same room and create space for conversations about the challenges facing our community and the solutions we can build together. A breakfast on the mountain or an evening event overlooking the slopes can spark new ideas, deepen relationships, and inspire generosity in ways that are hard to replicate elsewhere. These experiences help turn awareness into action and make philanthropy feel tangible, local, and personal.
No single organization can solve a community’s biggest challenges alone. Issues like affordable housing, climate change, childcare access, and community belonging require collaboration across sectors. Community foundations are uniquely positioned to bring those sectors together, working alongside donors, nonprofits, government leaders, and business partners to align resources and ideas around shared goals. When businesses invest in that work, they help unlock solutions that reach far beyond what any one organization could achieve on its own.
The partnership between Park City Community Foundation, Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation, and Park City Mountain is a powerful example of what that can look like. Because when we bring people together, connect resources to local needs, and work toward shared solutions, we build something stronger than any one organization could create alone.
