Women’s Giving Fund Steering Committee
Purpose
The Women’s Giving Fund Steering Committee guides the process of inviting, reviewing, selecting, and evaluating grants from Park City Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Fund.
Timeline
March: Grants applications open. Kickoff meeting to welcome new committee members, review guidelines and solidify dates. Assist staff in inviting nonprofit organizations to submit grant proposals.
April/May: Review applications and committee meetings to select semifinalists (if any) and finalists.
June: Assist staff in promoting voting by Women’s Giving Fund members for final grantee selection.
July: Attend annual grant announcement event, which also includes an update on the previous year’s grant.
November: Open nominations for steering committee vacancies (if any). Nominee selection.
Steering Committee Structure
- Eleven women+ and girls who are Women’s Giving Fund members
- Staggered three-year terms
- One member must be a Park City Community Foundation board member who is also a Women’s Giving Fund member
- One member must be of high school or college age
Nomination Process
- Members may nominate themselves or someone else
- Process conducted via online nomination form, as available
- Nominations from active Women’s Giving Fund members are particularly encouraged
- Nominees selected by the steering committee chair and Park City Community Foundation staff
- Nomination information kept confidential beyond those involved in the decision
