Through the Solomon Fund, we’ve been able to identify many barriers that limit access to sports and recreational activities including communication of opportunities to low-income Latino families, lack of reliable transportation options, expensive tuition, the high cost of gear, and more. We work in collaboration with local nonprofits and other service providers to deliver high quality, affordable programs for all of the children in our community.
We recognize that organizations need funding to expand access to their programs, and with that in mind, we are excited to announce the distribution of $89,840 in Solomon Fund grants this year. We will be supporting the following 17 local organizations in their equitable delivery of services:
