Youth United Steering Committee
Purpose
The Youth United Steering Committee guides the process of inviting, evaluating, selecting, and awarding grants from Park City Community Foundation’s Youth United Fund.
Timeline
February: Committee Kickoff / Orientation meeting
March: Evaluation of applications and prior grantee impact reports and final decision meeting
Steering Committee Structure
- Eight to nine members of the community
- One member must be a Park City Community Foundation board member
- Diversity of age, experience, ethnicity/race, and socio-economic background
Nomination Process
- Community members may nominate themselves or someone else.
- Nominees are selected by the steering committee chairperson and Park City Community Foundation staff.
- Nomination information is kept confidential beyond those involved in the decision.
Grants Committee Member Requirements
Time availability: minimum two meetings and approximately 20 hours over the course of one grant cycle (the above timeline).
