The Bipartisan Policy Center recently evaluated the childcare gap across 35 states. and calculated Utah’s gap to be over 64%, double the average of 31.2%. It found that there are 98,750 more children in Utah who need childcare than there are child care spots available. We must prioritize access to high-quality, affordable childcare if we expect our communities, families, and economy to thrive.
