Investment + Activities + Friends = Community & Belonging

Formerly known as Solomon Fund and RISE Fund, Youth United is the unified program that offers school-age children and teens in Park City and Summit County access to sports, recreation, clubs, camps, and extracurricular activities.

The goal of Youth United is to foster a sense of belonging among local youth and strengthen connections between community members. With Youth United, there are no limits to the many opportunities in our area to play, learn, grow, and belong. Youth United harnesses the potential of local youth for the good of our community and future generations.

Who's It For

Who's It For

Youth United is for Latina/o/x kids, BIPOC kids, and kids of any background who are navigating any financial constraints. It's for kids who would like to try something new or develop expertise in a sport or activity. It's for the hardworking families of our community so they can know their children have opportunities. No one is turned away.

What It Is

What It Is

At the Pre-K-8th grade level, Youth United kids participate in everything from soccer, skiing, boxing, and mountain biking to dance and theater. At the high school level, teens take part in everything offered at Park City High School, like basketball, cheerleading, debate, Model UN, and more. Through these experiences, kids from all backgrounds become friends and feel a sense of accomplishment and belonging.

How It Works

How It Works

Youth United is a key initiative of Park City Community Foundation. Generous donors provide the funds, and we distribute grants to various partners who want to provide scholarships to youth. The Community Foundation has dedicated staff who operate Youth United, convening partners and families through Spanish communications, community outreach events, and registration for activities.

Partner Organizations

Youth United partners with 30+ local organizations and businesses as well as Park City High School's teams and clubs.

Partner organizations provide activities, classes, camps, extracurriculars, and equipment to Youth United participants. They believe in making their programs equitable and receive grants from Youth United.

Caring Donors

This amazing initiative would never happen without the generosity of our community and donors. Many sports and extracurricular activities are incredibly expensive. For example, cheerleading costs $1,250 a year. Youth United needs ongoing financial support to sustain our positive impact. Please consider making an investment in your community.

“Youth United invests in kids who our systems have not historically supported in being successful. We are changing that by creating more access to sports and extracurricular activities.”
