Park City Community Foundation is proud to welcome Paige Penze as our new Chair of the Board of Directors.
Paige has been part of the Community Foundation family for years, bringing steady leadership, deep financial expertise, and a genuine love for this community. After nearly a decade in Park City and six years serving as a board member and Treasurer, she’s stepping into the role of Board Chair.
Paige and her family moved to Park City from New York almost ten years ago, drawn by the mountains and the promise of a ski-town lifestyle. After moving, Paige took the first year to settle into her new community, but it didn’t take long before she felt the desire to be a deeper part of the place she now calls home.
“I realized I needed to get involved and do something,” she said.
With her financial expertise and a passion to support the community, she asked where her skills would be most useful. She was drawn to Park City Community Foundation because it supports all the local nonprofits. She started on the Community Foundation’s Investment and Finance Committee and eventually joined the Board of Directors.
“Over my time as Treasurer, I’ve seen the Community Foundation grow in a big way,” she said. “Park City has grown too, more part-time residents becoming full-time, and there’s a real opportunity to get more people in the community involved.”
Professionally, Paige brings years of experience in finance. She has spent 28 years with Bank of America (Legacy Merrill Lynch), where she began her career as an equity trader and then transitioned to banking leadership. When asked how she navigated working in a male-dominated industry, she said, “I’ve always tried to do my job really well. I focus on what I can do and try not to worry about who’s around me.”
This mentality and discipline were shaped well before her professional career took off. Prior to her start in finance, Paige was a competitive swimmer at the University of Georgia and spent eight years on the U.S. swim team, winning four national championships and competing on an American Record-setting relay team.
“Swimming helped me learn how to balance commitments,” she reflected. “It’s helped me have a career and a family, participate in nonprofits, and try to have a well-rounded life despite all the commitments.”
“Paige is an extraordinarily qualified candidate to lead our Board of Directors,” commented Joel Zarrow, CEO and President of Park City Community Foundation. “Paige’s experience in the finance sector is strong, and her love for our community is profound. I’m confident in her ability to support this organization’s mission and move our community forward.”
As Board Chair, Paige is excited about helping the community better understand the full scope of what Park City Community Foundation does and how deeply its work touches local life.
“People may be part of our Women’s Giving Fund or donate during Live PC Give PC and not realize that Park City Community Foundation is orchestrating it all,” she said. “It supports all of our local nonprofits through education, convening, fundraising, and grants. There’s a lot that supports the community.”
At the heart of Paige’s leadership is a clear intention: to be a supportive partner to the staff and a welcoming resource to the broader community.
