What does it cost?
A 5-gallon bin costs $20.40/month and a 16-gallon bin costs $28.25/month. You receive a 10% discount if you pay for a full year upfront.
What if I need help covering the fee?
If you’re interested in food waste collection but the cost is a barrier, please fill out this form and we will help cover the fees.
What homes are eligible for food waste collection?
Curbside food waste collection is currently available to anyone in the greater Park City area and areas of Summit County, and even parts of Wasatch County. Please check Momentum Recycling’s site for a map of eligible areas.
Single-family homes will sign up and immediately be registered through Momentum Recycling’s website.
Apartments and condos are also eligible, but will require some coordination with your building manager, HOA, or property management group. Fill out the form on the Momentum website and a Momentum representative will reach out to you and help coordinate.
What can I put in the food waste bin?
ALL FOOD WASTE, including meat, bones, dairy, and oils.
Please no plastic, cardboard, glass, corks, chemicals, coated paper, compostable containers, hazardous oils, metals, or wood.
Can I sign up my business?
Yes, Momentum Recycling offers commercial food waste pickup across Summit County.
Where does my food waste go?
Currently, Momentum Recycling hauls our food waste to Wasatch Resource Recovery (WRR) in Salt Lake.
