Park City Community Foundation to Host Live PC Give PC, the Annual Giving Day for Local Nonprofits, on November 3, 2023

The 13th Annual Giving Day to Feature New Goals and Community Celebrations

Park City, Utah (October 12, 2023) – Following last year’s record-shattering $5.2 million raised from 6,600-plus donors, the Live PC Give PC annual day of community giving in Summit County and Park City will be held on Friday, November 3. With the 13th annual Live PC Give PC, Park City Community Foundation seeks to engage 7,000 unique donors to support 122 nonprofits (Park City, Summit County, and statewide). Primary residents, second homeowners, anyone who works and plays in Summit County, as well as people of all ages and backgrounds, are encouraged to get involved in this inclusive giving day. The fundraising happens online and will also feature in-person celebrations and other activities that cater to all members of the community.

“Live PC Give PC has become a highly anticipated, inspiring day of community spirit with a passionate show of support for Summit County’s nonprofits. Our dynamic nonprofits impact the lives of virtually everyone who lives in or visits Summit County, and this is a fun and fulfilling way to support them,” says Park City Community Foundation President and CEO Joel Zarrow. “Since 2011, more than 26 million dollars have been raised. While the fundraising totals are impressive, Park City Community Foundation’s true barometer of success is the number of individuals who donate, which is why we hope to move the needle to 7,000 unique contributors this year.”

The nonprofits that participate in Live PC Give PC provide services that address the significant economic disparities that exist in Summit County and ensure the strength of the community. For many, Live PC Give PC is their most significant vehicle for fundraising each year. Donations support nonprofits focused on social services, education, health care, animal welfare, trails, environmental efforts, and cultural and recreational programs.

Nonprofits will compete for an additional $35,000 in prize money. As the leading advocate for local nonprofits, Park City Community Foundation will award cash prizes sponsored by Park City Mountain to the top three nonprofits in each of six broad mission-based areas with the most unique donors. Repeat donors who gave last year can also have their donations boosted by $10. The minimum donation amount is $5. Many organizations also have matching grants which allow contributors to double their donations. Stay tuned to the Live PC Give PC website and KPCW Radio for power hours, during which donations are boosted.

New this year are two events for the community to gather in celebration of local nonprofits. From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Giving Day Fest at Park City Library is suited for all ages with live music, free tacos, hot chocolate, face-painting, and games inside Lucky Ones Coffee and on the patio. Later, from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight is the Party at Hight West Saloon. Live PC Give PC participants and the public who are 21 and over are welcome to celebrate and view the leaderboard at High West Saloon.
