Sponsors Love Live PC Give PC!

For the past 10 years, Live PC Give PC has helped the community thrive. Our 24-hour day of giving is a chance for donors and organizations to come together and protect the places where we love to live and play.

This year, Live PC Give PC looks a bit different. 2020 has proven to be a challenging year for many, especially for nonprofits who have been deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to the support of our loyal sponsors and the hard work of our staff, Park City Community Foundation is proud to have found a way to responsibly host an event that will help stabilize our nonprofit community.

“Live PC Give PC is the annual day of giving brings out the absolute best of Park City and Summit County residents, and we’re honored to be a part of this amazing movement of generosity for the 10th year in a row,” said High West Distillery’s Head of Hospitality, Elisabeth Flaherty. While there is not a party at High West this year, they are generously sponsoring the Arts and Culture Leaderboard. “This year has been a challenging one, but we are excited to see how these efforts will support our resilient nonprofit organizations in the months to come,” continues Flaherty.

Despite COVID-19, Park City Community Foundation is so excited to bring together the community on November 6th to celebrate in new ways. The goal is to have over 5,500 donors give to the nonprofit organizations. New activities this year include a socially distanced parade and an online livestream.

“It’s one of my favorite days of the year. It’s like Christmas for nonprofits, and that’s not going to change,” said Meg Steele of Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts EpicPromise, which is the presenting sponsor for Live PC Give PC. “Park City Community Foundation staff has been great when it comes to thinking of other ways to get people involved and really share what Live PC Give PC is all about. It’s a chance to support all of the nonprofits in our community, especially this year when fundraisers have been canceled, and I believe we’re really going to see the community come through to support those nonprofits that have been affected by COVID.”

Last year, Live PC Give PC raised over $2.4 million from thousands of donors, with the largest portion of donations coming from local Utah residents. Nonprofits supporting the arts, education, health care, animal welfare, recreational programs, environmental efforts, and much more participate from year to year. There’s a cause for everyone to support no matter where your passions lie.

“What I love about Live PC Give PC is you can choose what you’re most passionate about. There really is something for everyone,” said Barbara Phillips of Blue Sky Utah, the Leaderboard Sponsor for the People and Advocacy category. “We have to be gracious right now in a time of uncertainty. The environment and the people here are so valuable, so it’s important to reach out and support the community in any way that we can. Every little bit adds up.”

“At POWDR, we feel strongly that we all have a part to play in improving the well-being of the people and the places we live, love, work, and play,” said Tim Brennwald, Chief Operating Officer of POWDR, which has sponsored Live PC Give PC from the beginning. “Live PC Give PC plays an important part in helping our community thrive, and the support of local non-profits is more important than ever during this tremendous time of need. We are proud to be a sponsor of the giving event and appreciate all that others will do to contribute too.”
