Park City Community Foundation Announces Latest Climate Fund Grantees

Park City Climate Fund provides a critical piece of the puzzle by ensuring we have the resources in place to implement climate solutions. Specifically, these solutions include: reducing emissions, supporting natural land sinks, and empowering public and private entities with information to work in concert toward our community’s goal of becoming Net Zero by 2030.

To that end, Park City Community Foundation is proud to announce its third round of funding through its Park City Climate Fund.

The organizations and projects receiving funding include:

  • TreeUtah – community tree plantings for carbon sequestration
  • 3 Springs Land & Livestock – a multiyear soil health measurement program in collaboration with ranchers on the east side of Summit County
  • EATS Park City – school-based composting initiative
  • Recycle Utah – enhancing Latino community engagement in Zero Waste initiatives
  • Re-Uniform – a student-led initiative seeking to reduce waste through re-using sports uniforms

The total funds allocated for this grant cycle is $152,267. The Park City Climate Fund grants committee worked diligently to select these five projects out of more than twenty that applied. These projects will be working closely with Park City Community Foundation staff towards measuring and evaluating progress towards their goals.
